'2009 Tri-City Indoor "Turkey" Tournament

Dear Coach,

 

We are pleased to invite you and your team to participate in our annual Tri-City Thanksgiving Indoor Tournament. The tournament will be played Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 27, 28, and 29, 2009.

 

If you are not able to participate, please find a team parent(s) to coordinate the team for the tournament, as this is a fun tournament for the kids. There is very little “coaching” required for the kids to have a lot of fun. Parents do not need to be trained or certified as a coach to run the indoor team because each tournament location will have an AYSO trained personnel on site. The only item required for the substitute coach will be obtaining he player’s medical release forms from the head coach. The “coach” for the team will be expected to (1) communicate with tournament staff, (2) supervise the players when they are at the gym; (3) substitute players to even out playing time, (4) cheer for the team, and (5) have fun. That’s all. It’s a nice opportunity for involvement by a parent that is too busy to participate during the regular season. Don’t let your players miss the fun because a trained coach is not available.

 

Registration forms and checks are due by the end of day Saturday, November 14. The registration fee is $15 per player. A minimum of five players is needed to register. Please mail or deliver this completed form and your SINGLE CHECK payable to AYSO INDOOR SOCCER for the entry fee ($15 per player) to the tournament director in your region at the address on the form. If you mail your registration form and check, please allow enough time for delivery.

 

U14, U12, and U10 age groups will be competitive with playoffs (and trophies awarded to age group winners) on Sunday. U8 will be played on a non-competitive basis. All divisions will have boys and girls teams. All players will receive a commemorative pin.

Additional players may be added after the team registration has been submitted, however, they must be added prior to playing the first game. All players must be from your regular Fall 2009 AYSO team. The only exception to this rule is that U8 teams with fewer than six participating players may add players from other Fall 2009 AYSO U8 teams from their region. The $15 fee for each additional player must be paid before the team’s first game. Please bring your AYSO registration forms with you at all times during the tournament, as they are required for emergency treatment and proof of insurance.
